The Travel division of the EatOut Group, which is part of the Ibersol Group, has announced the opening of the “Mediterranean Terrace” at the Barcelona Airport. It’s a lounge bar with a unique design where travellers can relax for a bit in a modern and dynamic setting that will take their minds away from the airport.

The new Mediterranean Terrace is located in the terrace area of Terminal 1. It has a surface area of 474 m2 and can seat over 200 people. It boasts the best selection of drinks, including a wide assortment of domestic beers (with brands like Malquerida and Turia) and international beers (like Pabst Blue Ribbon), wines, cavas, sangrias, mixed drinks and cocktails.

Travellers will also be able to enjoy a complete assortment of snacks, taps, hot and cold dishes, montaditos, sandwiches, salads, cheese and meat platters, patatas bravas, with a sauce created by chef Albert Adrià, and of course, the best coffee and desserts. There are also menu options for celiacs, including the Daura gluten-free beer brand. All in the purest Mediterranean setting, which makes it one of the most unique spaces in the entire airport.

The Mediterranean Terrace is part of the 19 points of sale at the Barcelona Airport awarded by AENA to the EatOut Group in March of 2018, which the company will operate for eight years, until 2026. The company is in the middle of an ambitious project to remodel its restaurants at this airport, a project it will carry out in several phases and which is expected to be completed in May of this year.

In coming months, the EatOut Group is planning to open the remaining restaurants, including leading brands like Pans&Company, Café Pans, Innis&Gunn, Dehesa Santamaría, Mussol, EAT., Tapa Tapa, Central Café, Coffee Republic and Wok Street.
