Ibersol Travel España, the en-route catering division of the Ibersol Group, has been one of the key players in the catering tender issued by Aena at Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport, securing the management of 20 points of sale.
Once again, the Ibersol Group has positioned itself among the leading operators at Barcelona Airport, concentrating 33.1% of the total revenue from the tendered concessions. These concessions, which will have a term of between 8 and 12 years, reinforce its strategic commitment to the main airport hubs of the Iberian Peninsula.
The gradual handover of establishments is initially planned to begin in mid-2026. The company will manage eleven establishments, where it will offer a diverse and innovative range of dining options, including Grab & Go outlets, cafes, gluten-free options, a Food Market with three distinct concepts, and an outdoor leisure and dining area in the so-called “North Courtyard,” designed to enhance the traveler’s experience.
In Terminal 2, Ibersol will operate nine spaces, including a second Food Market, reinforcing its presence at the airport, a fast food outlet, grab & go, and cafes, adapting its offering to new demands, traveler profiles, and consumption patterns.
“These new contracts represent a very important milestone for Grupo Ibersol and reinforce Aena’s confidence in our solvency, experience, and execution capabilities. In this new phase, we will continue to promote an en-route catering model based on operational excellence and a high-quality, diverse gastronomic offering, designed to meet the evolving demands of travelers at one of the world’s most important airports, Barcelona,” Grupo Ibersol stated.
