Ibersol Travel España, part of the Ibersol Group, has opened the first Tapa Tapa restaurant in an airport.

This time, the Group’s travel restaurant division has selected the Barcelona Airport to open the first “Tapa Tapa” establishment, one of its franchise brands.

This airport is the second busiest in Spain and one of the busiest internationally, handling 50.1 million travellers in 2018, with a significant increase in the number of operations.

The new restaurant is located in the Terminal 1 Espada Aire zone, has a surface area of 322 m2 and can accommodate more than 145 guests.

“Tapa Tapa” is a leading tapas brand in Barcelona and Madrid. It first opened its doors in 1993 in Passeig de Gràcia, becoming a gastronomic landmark in this exclusive shopping street. It currently has 8 restaurants in Barcelona and 4 in Madrid.

The flagship restaurant, characterised by a cosy atmosphere designed with everyone in mind, offers a wide variety of tapas, pinchos, salads, seafood, skewers and other specialities based on recipes from Spanish and Catalan cuisine.
