The division Ibersol Travel España, part of the Ibersol Group, has opened a new Food Market at Alicante Airport.
It’s a space that adopts the “food court” format and takes up an area of 665 m2. It can seat over 290 people and features different eating options in the same place, allowing travellers to sit back and enjoy different culinary varieties. It offers a full range of options that is designed to cater to the culinary tastes and needs of customers at any time.
The Food Market is made up of 5 catering brands, including Ribs, Café Pans, and it introduces for the second time two concepts for franchised brands in airports: Central Café y Wok Street.
As a result, those travellers who wish to do so will be able to enjoy Ribs, True American Barbecue, one of the leading American food chains. Its hamburgers and ribs, cooked on a charcoal grill that never goes out, starters, salads, sandwiches and Tex-Mex options, allow customers to enjoy the same authentic American experience that is on display at its restaurants, which feature decorative themes and items made in the USA
At Café Pans, travellers will be able to enjoy the best coffee and a wide variety of savoury snacks and homemade pastry products made fresh every day at the restaurant, making the wait for their trip more enjoyable, as it offers products that span every meal time, from breakfast to an afternoon snack.
There is also a Central Café, which early on was renowned for being one of the first quality cafeterias in Barcelona. Over time, the brand has managed to develop a format designed to maintain a healthy and balanced diet, thus becoming a leader in the healthy eating trend in Barcelona. Currently, its menu offers sandwiches, basic salads and superfood salads, cold soups and sides for dipping, and more.
Also worth noting is Wok Street, a new concept in modern Asian fast food. It features a show-cooking approach, with fresh products made in front of the customer and a range of dishes that are suited to all types of consumers and dietary preferences, such as vegetarian and vegan. The staple ingredient in its wok dishes are wheat noodles, rice noodles or vegetables, combined to the customer’s liking and served with their favourite sauce.
This opening is part of the two points of sale AENA awarded to the EatOut Group in February 2019, as part of the renovation of the restaurant line-up in the airport. This contract is valid for 8 years, until 2027.
The first establishment of this contract was an EAT store, opened last June and located in the main boarding area of the airport.
Last July, the group opened another Food Market at Barcelona airport, consisting of four restaurants and which is enjoying great success.
