This new location is one of the group’s most strategic. It has a large surface area of 332 m2 that can accommodate over 150 travellers, and it’s located in one of the airport’s largest and most diverse shopping and eating areas. It incorporates the brand’s new image: a traditional Spanish pub reshaped to current eating trends and based on the “Iberian know-how” concept
The Travel division of the Eat Out Group, part of the Ibersol Group, has announced the opening of a new Dehesa Santamaría location at the Barcelona Airport.
The restaurant, which has a large surface area of 332 m2 and can accommodate over 150 travellers, is located airside in Terminal 1 of the Sky Center, a prime location that in recent years has become one of the airport’s largest and most diverse shopping and eating areas, which makes this a key opening for the group.
And on top of all this, the Barcelona Airport is the second busiest in Spain and one of the leading international airports, handling 50.1 million passengers in 2018, with a significant increase in the number of operations.
The new establishment features the new brand image of Dehesa Santamaría, which offers customers the ability to enjoy new, friendly spaces while preserving an essence that relies on quality and fast, professional service.
The chain has solidified its position as a traditional Spanish pub with the typical culture and customs, but more in keeping with modern times. It has also incorporated the “Iberian know-how” concept as its hallmark, combining tradition and experience with the main characteristic of Iberian products: their flavour. All of which makes this flagship location the perfect place to enjoy a beer and snacks with family and friends.
One of its most appealing features is its on-demand slicing service for Iberian cold meats. At Dehesa Santamaría, the highlight is the tapas with traditional ingredients but with a modern touch. It’s also renowned for its ample menu options, which span all tastes, with a meticulous assortment of local products, such as assorted Iberian cold meats, platters for sharing, its servings, tapas, salads, desserts and more.
The company has also done considerable work to train the restaurant staff on customer service and its cafeteria and beer options, as well as on slicing techniques, all of which is intended to enhance the knowledge of these professionals and which is in keeping with the brand’s current positioning.
The Eat Out Group is the leading operator at the Barcelona Airport, where it currently manages 19 points of sale. With this opening, it will reach five Dehesa Santamaría travel locations, situated in the airports of Barcelona, Menorca, Fuerteventura, Las Palmas and in the Camp Nou Stadium.
DEHESA SANTAMARÍA
Dehesa Santamaría was founded in Mérida in 1998, and in 2001 it began to expand through franchising. In 2006, it became part of the Eat Out Group, which belongs to Ibersol, one of the leading restaurant groups in the Iberian Peninsula.
Today, the chain has established itself as a traditional Spanish pub with the same culture and customs as always, but adapted to modern tastes. It has incorporated the “Iberian Know-how” concept as its hallmark, combining tradition and experience with the main characteristic of Iberian products: their flavour.
Dehesa Santamaría is currently one of the leading modern restaurant brands, thanks to the quality of its products and its high name recognition among consumers. It has restaurants in Andorra and all throughout Spain, including locations at national airports in Barcelona, Menorca, Málaga and Fuerteventura.
